Mother and Child

Mother and Child, was inspired by Gustav Klimt’s painting ‘Mother & Child.’ In contrast to Maternal and Cradle, Mother & Child gives a more surreal image of the two figures.  While still incorporating abstracted elements, this piece allowed me to experiment with surrealism and build off of Klimt’s inspiration. Mother & Child was painted on a 10in x 20in canvas with acrylics and donated to the Ronald McDonald Foundation in 2011.
