The goal of this piece is to show both the mental and athletic strength of the female figure.  ‘Ascension’ was inspired by female gymnasts and intended to emphasize their solid muscle structure and their triumphant spirit, particularly at their final pose at the end of a performance. ‘Ascension’ gives a positive image of women to embrace their unique body type without objectifying themselves.
